Children's Medical Center

The Children’s Medical Center at Rockford Health System offers the most advanced care for newborns and children in the region.

We are recognized by the Illinois Department of Public Health as a Pediatric Critical Care Center. This new distinction makes us one of only eight hospitals in Illinois recognized for providing the highest level of specialized critical care and emergency care services to children.

Providing Care on the Area's Only Ronald McDonald Care Mobile

Providing medical and dental care for children who are uninsured is the job of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.

In three years, 2,500 children have received nearly $500,000 in free medical and dental care on the pediatric clinic on wheels.

Staff on the Care Mobile also help enroll children in the state's All Kid Program. For more information, click here.
