Wound Center
The
Wound Center at Rockford Health
System is an outpatient program
dedicated to the treatment of
chronic, non-healing wounds. The
Wound Center has been open since
1991.
If you have a chronic wound, one
that hasn't healed after 4-6 weeks,
we can help. Receiving comprehensive
wound treatment can mean the
difference between saving and losing
a limb.
We've assembled the region's most
experienced team of professionals,
who provide a multidisciplinary
approach to care. Our general,
plastic, and vascular surgeons work
collaboratively with
specially-certified wound care
nurses to provide state-of-the-art
care from diagnosis to aggressive
wound management. Our facility is
located in the hospital. We
emphasize education and support for
patients, families or other
individuals assisting with the
patient's wound care.
