How do we take
action on quality measure data to make
improvements?
We have a Pediatric
Continuous Quality Improvement Committee
that represents physician and nursing
leadership, staff nurses, other
departments serving our pediatric
patients – respiratory therapy,
laboratory, x-ray, dietary, REACT
emergency transport, trauma and case
management.
The committee’s
focus is always the same as it reviews
quality measures and takes action – how
can we improve the care experience for
children and their parents? How can we
improve our teamwork as care providers? No matter how well we are
performing today, how can we improve to
provide the safest, most up to date, and
best care possible consistent with the
finest in the country? We believe our patients deserve
nothing less.
In addition, we
have a Pediatric Parent Advisory Group.
Representatives from the inpatient and
outpatient pediatrics areas meet
regularly with family representatives to
gain insight on their experiences and
make recommendations about improvements.
